Walking toward the south side of the old town from Rovinj's main square, throught the Santa Croce (Svetog Križa) road just under the St. Euphemia church there is a rocky coastal area suitable for sunbathing and swimming in front of the St. Katherine island.

The Big and Small Guguliera are suitable for children with a few easy accesses to the sea at the pebble bay. From the Baluota to the Lanterna beach the coast is mostly rocky and the access to the sea is only by diving or climbing rocks. There are also a few ladders for easy acess to the water but no natural shade.

The motor vehicle traffic in the whole town center is forbidden so you will need to park your car at the town public car parks and go by foot or with a bicycle. The beach is perfect for people staying in the town center or visitors willing to take a swim after a long city walk.

There are no services on the beach but there are bars and restaurants nearby.
